Hi I’m Dan, Clinical Director and Owner of Azure Dental in Formby. I’ve lived in Liverpool since the age of 7. I am married to Becca with 2 children, Alex who’s 17 and Ella who is 15, along with a very spotty 8 year old Dalmatian.
Alex particularly likes music, playing Saturday and Sunday in various local bands and orchestras with Ella enjoying swimming and rowing.
I love dentistry because coming into the profession, I love using my hands having played a lot of sports in the past. It was a natural progression to utilise the eye- hand coordination skills to be able to perform great work on my patients, to achieve their goals of a healthy mouth and keeping teeth for life.
Having qualified at the Royal London Hospital, in London, back in July’99, I started my career down on the Isle of Wight, spending 3.5-4 years there before moving back onto the mainland and moving to Reading.
I then spent another 4 years in Reading, further developing and progressing my technical skills and knowledge, and that’s where I then started to develop my advanced skills, going on further training courses, both in the UK and to the USA. Looking out all around the world for the best people to study under. Learning the skills, technologies and the materials that are now available to provide the best quality of care for my patients.
Moving forwards I relocated up to Manchester to work in a specialist practice for 6 years training under one of the top dentists in the UK.
Finally, 14 years ago the time was right to set up and take everything I’d learnt over the previous years and develop Azure Dental ,a modern clinic for the people of Liverpool, providing the very best care in general dental health care along with the latest treatment innovations in dental implants and fast cosmetic invisible braces.
