RESTORE YOUR SMILE
Invisalign is a leading brand in dental treatment. Specifically, they provide a way to reposition teeth through the use of clear plastic inserts. As they are less visually disruptive than traditional metal braces, they’re becoming an increasingly popular choice amongst adults. They can also be used by teenagers for minor correction work as well!
Here at Azure Dental, our Invisalign Liverpool service can cover many of the most common dental problems:
Invisalign braces work by using custom-made aligners that sit over your teeth. These are then worn as much as possible to ensure the best results. It is recommended that you wear them for 20-22 hours per day.
After a few weeks, they need to be replaced with new versions. In this way, your teeth are slowly repositioned through an approach that’s less invasive or unattractive than traditional metal braces. Depending on how much repositioning needs to be done, this process is repeated as necessary.
Of course, the biggest benefit of Invisalign, like other braces, is that it corrects your smile and improves your overall appearance. However, there are a few key reasons why Invisalign stands out from regular braces.
Because they can be taken out, your life is completely undisrupted. Eating is never a problem and, likewise, Invisalign braces don’t cause any problems when you brush or floss your teeth.
And should you need to play an instrument, take part in sporting activities, or otherwise need to take them out, they can simply be put back in the moment it’s over.
Invisalign braces are designed to cause as little disruption as possible. With clear plastic, they enable you to receive dental corrective care whilst still retaining a natural appearance during the process. This is often a great relief for those feeling self-conscious or worried about their interim appearance.
Another reason people don’t like traditional braces is that they can often feel the metal wires or glue on their teeth. This is a constant distraction throughout the day. With Invisalign, this isn’t a problem. Because they gently sit over the teeth, you don’t get the same persistent feeling.
Despite their removable nature, Invisalign braces do not greatly impact the time it takes for corrections to take hold. We regularly see results within 12-18 months for the most serious cases, while light corrections could be done quicker.
Ask most people to describe dental braces and they will tell you that they are ugly metal things that show up when you smile. Whilst this certainly used to be the case- it doesn’t have to be this way! We now have removable invisible braces!
We now have multiple clear adult brace options available to use. The fixed types of braces still using wires. Though options such as Ice clear braces now use much finer white wires and smaller translucent crystal sapphire brackets.
Not all dental practices are able to use all these modern brace options or removable brace systems. Still preferring to work with the old-style non-aesthetic metal brackets and wires. For the past 12 years, we have been providing patients with all the cosmetic clear brace systems who wished to have their crooked teeth straighter, utilising the Invisalign clear removable brace system.
Unlike regular traditional metal braces, Invisalign is a wireless brace and no brackets glued to the teeth. Instead, Invisalign treatment uses a series of clear aligners which are transparent trays that fit directly over the teeth like a super-thin gumshield. Working by gradually moving your teeth into their new positions ready for the next aligner stage. This offers many advantages to the patient- not least of which is comfort. Many of our Liverpool orthodontic treatment Invisalign patients who have had their teeth straightened using Invisalign expressed surprise at how comfortable they felt once they had settled into wearing the clear aligners. Whilst it wasn’t unusual for them to feel a little strange for the first few days, most patients said that it was easy to forget that they were wearing them once they got used to the sensation. It even become so normal that it actually feels more strange when they don’t have the aligners in.

If this was the only benefit of this system, that in itself would be a positive thing, but Invisalign offers much more. In addition to the comfort factor, they are also excellent for being able to keep your mouth healthy too. Designed to be removed when eating or whilst brushing your teeth, keeping your mouth healthy and clean when the brace is fitted is no longer a difficult task as you can now simply brush as normal when the aligners are removed from your mouth. All you need to do is undertake good oral health care to clean your teeth with a normal toothbrush- ideally electric and use dental floss or inter-dental brushes as you currently do- brush and floss. Remember when cleaning your teeth, to make sure that your trays are also clean before you return them to your mouth. That way, the risk of dental decay or gum disease is minimised even further. You can now also get special disinfectant dissolving aligner cleaning tablets.
The Invisalign system has been designed and set up for the varying degress of difficulty involved in moving different people’s teeth. The clear removable brace treament options are called Invisalign full, Invisalign Lite treatment, Invisalign i7, and Invisalign Teen. This treatment has been specially designed for that age group with specific wear indicator markers to allow a visual record of the amount of time the aligners are being worn. The wear time for Invisalign is crucially important as the system for removable adult braces/ removable teen braces has been designed specifically that each stage needs to be worn 20-22 hours per day to allow the teeth to move correctly into their new position ready for the next stage to be fitted.
As if these factors weren’t beneficial enough, Invisalign, as the name hints at, is virtually invisible. Each special bespoke aligner tray stage is made from a highly researched medical transparent plastic material which is unique to Invisalign- there are now many aligner companies out there but no other clear aligner material comes close to the standards researched and developed by Invisalign and their latest SmartTrack material. Very few people will even notice that you are wearing braces unless of course, you decide to tell them and show off that you are. With this revolutionary system, having your teeth straightened needn’t be the uncomfortable and embarrassing experience that it has been for many people in the past with traditional metal braces. You can wear your trays when working or even when out socialising with friends and family. If you are going out for a meal or a special night out, you can simply remove the clear aligners somewhere discreet before your meal, and pop them back in afterwards or when you get back home.
The fees for Invisalign vary depending on your individual case type and the number of aligners required to achieve your desired outcome. Treatment can start from as little as £2200 for the simpler cases up to £4500 for the more complex cases- the average 12-18 month type of case being in the region of £3500-£4000. This also includes your fixed and removable retainers and some teeth whitening at treatment completion worth £550 together themselves. Retention is crucial to the long-term stability and success of your teeth straightening treatment.
The fees being based on the charges for the use of the Invisalign system and their manufacturing of your case and the aligners required, combined with the amount of surgery time you will require to undertake your treatment. We offer pay-as-you-go and monthly finance payment plans with a 12 month 0% interest-free option available.
