Personally at Azure Dental having used all the different systems we now exclusively use the ICE braces as they are the clearest month smiles braces available, as well as being the most durable. Invisalign teeth straightening clear braces

<img src="invisalign full.jpg" alt="lady wearing invisalign full aligner">

Some people prefer the most discreet solution and so choose invisalign treatment which is broken up into 3 different types of invisalign braces depending on your individual case-

i7- allows up to a maximum of 7 stages of aligners to work on moving your teeth. This is for very minor tooth movements.

Invisalign Lite- allows up to a maximum of 14 stages so is suitable for medium crowded or spaced cases.

Invisalign Full- allows unlimited numbers of aligners for the more complex cases so they can still be treated by the system. Though, if you are the type of case that looks like you will need in the region of 30 aligners or more then you should be looking more realistically at a fixed type of brace to enable much better control of the tooth movements. These types of cases if run with invisalign generally take much longer than planned and end up taking in the region of 2-3 years again instead of 1 year with ICE braces.

Invisalign Teen- is the same system as Invisalign full but has specially adapted aligners with wear indicators to ensure the correct compliance with the wear time required which is so crucial with Invisalign.

Inman Aligner braces

<img src="inman aligner.jpg" alt="lady wearing an inman aligner">

This type of removable brace is an old style brace that has been modernised with improved materials available today. Treatment with the Inman aligner can be very quick is worn correctly with treatment being completed in as little as 6-18 weeks. It is more limited to just being able to straighten out the front teeth and does affect your speech while you get used to wearing it. Though it is removable so if you have a special event or meeting you can take it out.

RETAINERS

Once treatment is completed before the brace is removed we bond a fixed retainer to the back of the front teeth to ensure the teeth don’t move, and then once everything has been cleaned and polished we have a removable retainer (known as an Essix retainer) manufactured to back up the fixed retainer at the front, while also keeping the position and new shape to the side teeth. This is known as the “belt and braces” approach to retention and is crucial for the long term stability of your new smile. If you commit to retain your teeth with both types of retainer your teeth will maintain their alignment, but if not you risk your teeth moving to varying degrees depending on your individual situation and the forces in your mouth.

  • Invisible Braces / Invisalign

    treatment image

An average Invisalign® treatment takes between nine and 18 months and is made up of the following steps:

    • You will meet one of our clinicians and certified Invisalign® practitioners at Azure Dental, for an evaluation about your treatment.
    • Diagnostics will be taken, including an X-ray; photographs of your smile and impressions based on your treatment plan; and your dental records
    • A virtual 3D image known as your ‘clincheck’ is then generated. This shows you the movement of your teeth from the current position to the desired final position
    • We will then work with you to approve the plan and arrange a set of bespoke aligners to be made just for you – the number of aligners required is individual and varies from person to person

    YOU AND YOUR INVISALIGN® ALIGNERS

Invisalign® aligners are designed to fit easily into your lifestyle. You’ll wear them for around 22 hours every day, only removing them to eat, brush, and floss. You can also take them out for a specific occasion.
Every two weeks, you switch to a new set of aligners. The series of aligners will gradually move your teeth into their final prescribed position. In order for us to monitor your progress and provide your next batch of aligners, you’ll visit Azure Dental every two months.

    BENEFITS OF INVISALIGN®
There are many benefits to choosing Invisalign® over traditional braces:

    • Aligners are designed to custom-fit your teeth and not interfere with your lifestyle
    • Aligners are virtually invisible, so hardly anyone will notice that you are straightening your teeth
    • The treatment allows you to maintain your dental hygiene and brush and floss as normal
    • The aligners can be removed for eating, drinking or special occasions
    • There is less chance of irritation on your mouth and gums since there are no brackets or wires on the aligners
    • From the start, you’ll know how long your treatment will take and what your teeth are expected to look like at the end of the process
  • Inman Aligner

    treatment image

The Inman Aligner is designed to correct crowded front teeth. It is barely visible apart from a single clear wire, and it is removable allowing the wearer to go brace-free for important occasions.

The Inman Aligner utilises a spring that puts pressure against the back of the teeth that need repositioning and a bar that is placed across the front of the teeth to reverse the same pressure. These components work together to “squeeze” the teeth by pushing and pulling them straight.

The Inman Aligner has limitations and is only used for treating the upper or lower front incisor teeth whereas Invisalign can treat all your teeth. In most cases treatment will be completed in 12 to 18 weeks.

  • Six Month Smiles

    treatment image

Fixed appliances are the most commonly used orthodontic braces today, because they allow accurate positioning of the teeth and when used with the 6 Month Smiles system are some of the fastest tooth movement braces around.

Fast braces are now available with clear brackets, dramatically reducing the visibility of the braces. They are particularly popular for adults, where aesthetics are of the utmost importance. The braces are securely fixed onto the teeth and cannot be removed by the patient.

There are various systems available in our practice on the outskirts of Liverpool, ranging from the standard metal brackets to clear aesthetic brackets. Whether in your professional life or when you are out socialising, an attractive smile can make you feel happier and more relaxed – as well as making the right impression!

With 6 Month Smiles, the rapid orthodontic system we use in our Formby dental practice you will see a result in…. well, 6 months!

This is achieved with a combination of modern braces design, which encourages rapid tooth movement, and an ingenious way of aligning all the brackets and designing the appliance beforehand. This means you spend less time in the dentist’s chair and the tooth movement happens much faster than conventional braces.

    Inside Of Teeth Braces

Azure Dental are now offering a new system called Simple Lingual Straight Teeth, where the braces are applied to the inside of your teeth. The brackets fixed to the inside of your teeth will gently move the teeth into place quickly and discretely. No need to worry about wearing braces as nobody will know. They are totally inconspicuous!

You can enjoy the secret transformation of your smile when you look in the mirror and notice how your teeth are changing. Lingual braces are customised to your mouth which helps make them efficient, effective and less intrusive.

Inside of teeth braces are an ideal way to straighten your teeth without people knowing.

Teeth Straightening Clear Braces |Invisalign|Formby|Liverpool FAQ's

View FAQs
Invisalign - Are the aligners really invisible?

They are made from clear plastic, so they are virtually invisible. Even when very close, most people will not notice you are straightening your teeth – unless you choose to tell them?

Invisalign - What’s the difference between Invisalign Full and Invisalign Teen

Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen® essentially do the same thing, however, because teens (and their mouths) are constantly growing, features have been added to accommodate to this:

  • Blue dot indicator to signify the need to change to the next aligner. When the blue dot turns clear (typically after two weeks), it’s time to change.
  • Designed to allow for the fact that a teens permanent teeth are still growing.
  • Six replacement aligners are also included to minimise the worry of loss or breakages
How long does the Invisalign® treatment take?

The total duration of Invisalign® aligners is dependant on each individual and the complexity of the treatment. Generally the time frame is comparable to that of traditional metal braces and can last on average between 12 and 18 months. During your consultation, your Invisalign® clinician can provide you with more detailed information.

What conditions can Invisalign treat?

This is a great choice for treating a wide range of orthodontic problems, including:

  • Underbite
  • Crossbite
  • Overbite
  • Spaced teeth
  • Crowded teeth
Will the aligners affect speech?

The vast majority of clients report no effect on speech. However, as with traditional orthodontic appliances, there is an initial adjustment period associated with having something new in the mouth.
