Her training includes a dental degree from Madrid in 2009 and a Master's in Endodontics completed at the International University of Catalunya in 2021. Endodontic procedures at Azure Dental are undertaken using a specialist dental operating microscope.

Is root canal treatment painful?
The tooth is carefully numbed before treatment. Many patients find the appointment more manageable than expected, although pressure or vibration may be noticeable and temporary tenderness can occur afterwards. Tell us if you feel uncomfortable so we can pause and reassess.
How long does root canal treatment take?
Timing depends on the tooth, number and shape of the canals, infection, previous treatment and complexity. Some appointments take around 60–90 minutes, while complex cases may take longer or require more than one visit.
Will I need more than one appointment?
Some suitable cases can be completed in one appointment. Others are treated in stages because of infection, anatomy, symptoms, retreatment needs or the restorative plan. Your expected visit pattern is explained after assessment.
Will I need a crown afterwards?
Not every root-treated tooth automatically needs a crown. Back teeth, heavily filled teeth and structurally weakened teeth often benefit from a protective restoration. We explain the reason, options and separate fee where applicable.
Can a previously root-filled tooth be treated again?
Sometimes. Retreatment may be considered when symptoms, infection or technical problems persist, but suitability depends on the remaining tooth structure, canal access, cracks and long-term prognosis.
When should I see a Specialist Endodontist?
Specialist assessment can be useful for complex anatomy, difficult diagnosis, curved or calcified canals, dental trauma, persistent symptoms, retreatment or when your dentist would like a specialist opinion.

Can nervous patients have sedation?
Oral or IV sedation may be available following a suitable clinical and medical assessment. Sedation is not automatically required for root canal treatment, and the team will first discuss pacing, local anaesthetic and other comfort measures.
What happens if the tooth cannot be saved?
If the tooth is not predictably restorable, extraction may be the safer option. We explain why and, where relevant, discuss whether the space should be left, restored with a bridge or denture, or assessed for an implant.
